Andrew Whiteoak is Head of Wigs and Make- up at The Birmingham Rep Theatre. A leading theatrical wigmaker, make-up and prosthetics artist, during a career spanning 20 years he has designed and created wigs, make-up and hair for literally hundreds of productions including ‘Cabaret’, ‘12 Angry Men,’ ‘The Wizard of Oz’, ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ and ‘Peter Pan’ to name but a few. Andy will join Neill on the lecture theatre stage to demonstrate bald caps and creative hair work.
A small number of Andy’s other extensive credits include ‘A Christmas Carol’, ‘East is East’, ‘The Witches’, ‘Dial M for Murder’, ‘Of Mice and Men’ and The Crucible’. As an experienced lecturer and assessor Andy likes to keep an active role in the education and promotion of make-up, wig making and the arts. He is a certified State Registered Senior Hairdresser, committee member of NASMAH (National Association of Screen Make-up Artists and Hairdressers) and committed BECTU member.
