Brian Kinney is a Los Angeles based primetime Emmy-nominated artist with a 15-year industry career. Sponsored by Titanic Creative Management, he will be doing demos on their stand and appearing in Prosthetics Jam. Brian has made his mark in FX labs and on set across North America and Europe and is also well known as a teacher. His credits include films like ‘The Purge: Anarchy’, ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay’ and ‘Amityville: The Reawakening’. He recently headed up the makeup departments for ‘Beneath the Dark’ and ‘Julia X’.
Originally from Chicago, he trained at the Delamar Academy in London, shortly after which he started his prosthetics career on the HBO/BBC mini-series ‘Band of Brothers’. In his early days in LA he was a founding member of the Special FX Makeup department on ‘CSI:NY’. He is also a Journeyman in IATSE Hollywood Local 706 Make-up Artists and Hairstylists Guild, where he serves as Makeup Craft President and Executive Board Member.
His work can also be seen in recent US television episodes of ‘Sons of Anarchy’, ‘CSI’, ‘Law & Order: LA’, ‘True Blood’, ‘Community’, ‘Rizzoli & Isles’, ‘Children’s Hospital’, ‘Sniper: Deadliest Missions’, and ‘1000 Ways To Die’ amongst a long list of others.
Brian started his company, Full Slap FX, to serve production needs and provide innovations and tools for fellow professional makeup artists. This includes the Hurt Box line, a popular series of portable silicone moulds for appliance casting on the go and in the field.
