Clinton Aiden Smith
Clinton is a trailblazer in developing prosthetics in his native South Africa, and globally in the field of hybrid practical/digital prosthetics. He started the first prosthetics studio in South Africa that employed crew full-time in 2008: Cosmesis Studio began servicing the local industry and has now done 365 projects internationally. Clinton has worked with artists and companies across the world, allowing him to be part of a bigger, global community. He also provides training and helps schools form curricula to serve our field in South Africa. He is now working to create a digital, cohesive workshop space where artists can collaborate on a different platform without the boundaries of travel. He is a SAFTA GOLD winner (South African award) and BAFTA nominee. Personally significant projects include ‘The Dark Tower’, ‘Mad Max :Fury Road’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1’, ‘World War Z’, ‘Resident Evil: Final Chapter’, ‘Dredd’, ‘Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom’, ‘The Girl’, ‘The Last Face’ and ‘The Last House on the Left’.
