Dave is a highly skilled sculptor and creature/character designer. Entering the industry in 1992 he has worked in all aspects of prosthetics from make-up application to mould making. Dave has worked at senior level on movies and TV shows including ‘Ronin’, ‘Troy’, ‘28 Weeks Later’, ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’, ‘Hellboy 2: The Golden Army’, ‘Clash of the Titans’ and ‘Doctor Who’.
Dave’s first job was at Image Animation where he rose to be workshop supervisor until 2002. He has since worked with Neil Courbould, Creature Effects, Spectral Motion, Tony Gardner and Millennium FX as well as being a freelance designer, writer and production artist. Between working on film and TV productions Dave also teaches at Gorton Studio. He does all aspects of prosthetics, is a highly skilled sculptor and concept designer and supervised the effects on many of his credits. To date Dave’s career has seen him work on a large number of high profile feature films in addition to those above, including ‘Event Horizon’, ‘Dog Soldiers’, ‘Beyond Borders’, Oliver Stone’s ‘Alexander’ and ‘Seed of Chucky’. His television credits include working
as lead artist for Millennium FX on the new ‘Doctor Who’ and he recently headed up the team for the shoot of the new Cybermen on series 8 starring Peter Capaldi.
