The day comprises demos, talks and advice from top film industry professionals, beautiful body art, extraordinary exhibits, exciting competitions and shopping with leading specialist retailers. This is our eighth annual event which since its small beginnings has grown into THE annual makeup FX gathering, and has sold out every year, so be sure to book your tickets early.

There's a lot going on!

Look out for all this on the day...

As well as being used heavily in film and TV, creative prosthetics are also found in theatre, live events, cosplay, tourist attractions, casualty simulation and many more places besides. Some of the skills involved include animatronics, sculpture, mould making, hair punching, prosthetic application, painting and finishing, all of which are represented at the event.

You’ll find an abundance of skill on show on two stages, in competitions, live demos and the Monster Mash Exhibition that showcases work by various artists from Academy Award winners to recent graduates. You’ll also get to buy products and equipment from the best brands in the business and maybe win a Prize Draw of makeup FX goodies for your kit! If you’re an aspiring artist you can also apply for a place in Portfolio Surgery ; a one-to-one advice session with an experienced industry pro – apply via this website throughout the month of October.
